Our Story

OVY Earth began with a simple search for something that should exist: truly sustainable everyday essentials and yoga wear made from Organic, USA - grown hemp and cotton, fully grown, milled and sewn in America.

I’m Kim, co-owner of a yoga studio in Ocean View, Delaware, and all I wanted was a pair of leggings and everyday clothing essentials that matched the values we teach in our studio—mindfulness, wellness, and care for our planet. But I couldn’t find them anywhere.

That search led me down a deeper path—one that revealed something surprising, and honestly, frustrating:  almost no one in the U.S. is making basic apparel from American- grown hemp and cotton, even though hemp is one of the most sustainable, versatile, and earth-friendly plants we have.

The more I learned, the more clear it became that hemp wasn’t missing because it lacked value. It was missing because it had been pushed out of the market, despite being:

Naturally durable

Incredibly fast-growing

Pesticide-free

Water-efficient

And able to enrich the soil rather than deplete it

Hemp absorbs more CO₂ than trees and can replace countless products we currently make from cotton, soy, flax, or even plastic— but with a far smaller environmental footprint.

As someone rooted in the yoga world, I realized how deeply disconnected our clothing is from the values we practice.
We strive for wellness, yet most of our apparel is made from polyester, rayon, viscose, or some new synthetic blend—materials that are, quite literally, plastic. Every wash releases microplastics into our water, our air, and ultimately, our bodies.

We are what we wear.

And what we’re wearing is harming us and the planet we’re trying to protect.

So, OVY Earth was born—out of a desire to create clothing that feels good, moves well, and aligns with the principles of yoga, sustainability, and conscious living.

Our mission is simple: To bring hemp and organic cotton back to American soil, back to American manufacturing, and back into the hands of people who care about what truly matters.
